Meet the TrainersChris Blum , Head TrainerChris is the founder and owner of New Paradigm Fitness and Outdoor Fitness Clubs. Chris has his Masters in Education, is a licensed K-12 PE teacher and certified Strength & Condtioning Coach at St. Paul Academy and Summit School in St. Paul. He has done both Personal training in health club settings and athletic training for high school athletes. He views his job as "preventative health care" for young people. His passion is to empower people with the benefits of life-long fitness habits. "I love to see folks who don't regularly work out, become literally transformed by consistent exercise in their lives. I have seen regular exercise literally revolutionize the way people look and feel about themselves!" Chris was recently recognized in Edina magazine's best-of issue as "Best Personal Trainer." (June '09 issue) Lee Blum , Health EducatorLee is a fun, energetic Wellness expert and professional mother of three boys. She works part time at Park Nicollet's Melrose Eating Dissorders Institute as a Health Educator. Having battled and recovered from an Eating Disorder herself, Lee travels around the country speaking and educating others on the topic. One of Lee's biggest passions is training for and running marathons. She has run eight marathons in four different cities including the prestigious Boston marathon. Ali Payne , TrainerAli Payne comes to OFC with an exercise physiology background plus a number of group fitness certifications. She has been teaching and training for over 13 years. Ali is a graduate of The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Health Promotion plus a Masters of Science degree in Health Promotion and Human Resource Management. Her goals consist of getting you to move your body and meet your personal goals. She lives, eats and breaths her career. She is an avid marathon runner and ironman tri-athlete. Her obvious enthusiasm and passion for health and wellness are contagious. Jessica Post ATC , Massage TherapistJes is a nationally certified athletic trainer (ATC) and is currently finishing the clinical aspect of massage therapy school, specializing in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and sports massage. Two of her favorite things are getting outdoors and keeping active. Her passion is to help people prevent and or assist them in healing injuries that keep them from enjoying an active lifestyle. With Jes' combination of athletic training and massage therapy, she will be able to help keep your body in top notch working condition. She can help you manage your aches, pains and injuries, using massage and athletic training. Or even set up personalized rehabilitation programs. Jes can set up an injury evaluation or rehab program at a location that is convenient for you, or during your OFC workout. For massage appointments, Jes works out of her home in south Minneapolis, and has a flexible schedule. |
